Default Drilling an AK-47 barrel gas port

I'm sure this question has been asked many times but please help me if you can. I have an undrilled barrel for a romanian 7.62x39 but need to drill for the gas port. It looks like the gas block channel is angled. What diameter hole should I drill for 7.62x39 gas port? I have a mill-drill so drilling it should not be a problem. Just want to do it right the first time if possible.

Last one that I drilled was using a 1/8th drill bit. Just go slow, and don't be cheap with the oil. I always drill mine with the gas port in place. It will give you the correct angle.

AK Builder sells a gas port drill for 4.95. It works great, the length is perfect.

Ditto on all the above. I just drilled the gas port in my virgin M70AB build last week. Use a high quality bit. Mine was 1/8" dia. and 6" long. It really does need to be that long. I have a lathe and a mill, which I've used for most of the build, but I gotta say that I used a hand drill for the gas port -- the only hole I've drilled with a hand drill. I was more hesitant about this one step than anything else, but it was no problem at all.
